Experienced Roofer

We are looking to hire an efficient roofer to install new roofing systems where needed. 

To be successful as a roofer, you should be able to maintain good working relationships with clients and other contractors. Ultimately, an outstanding Roofer will ensure that all safety standards and procedures are strictly adhered to at all times.

Responsibilities

• Transport and load/unload roofing materials in truck
• Lay new roofing materials such as asphalt, wood, steel and plastics
• Inspect roofing for damage and perform any needed repairs
• Spray treatment chemicals on roofs and buildings to seal them from water and weather
• Clean rooftops by removing leaves, ice and other debris
• Install insulation materials underneath roofs
• Use hand tools such as hammers, electric staplers and electric spraying tools

Qualifications

• High school education or GED
• Construction safety certification such as OSHA training is a plus
• Physical fitness level that will allow for quick movement, climbing, bending and lifting heavy loads
• Previous experience in roofing, construction or related scope of work
• Communication and teamwork skills including an openness to receiving feedback from superiors
• General knowledge of roofing procedures, techniques and specialties
• Strong work ethic and desire to perform quality work
• Ability to read and follow instructions from blueprints, drawings and diagrams
• Endurance to spend hours working in extreme weather conditions such as heat or cold
